For nearly 200 years, New Albany Methodist has been connecting the people of New Albany with the redeeming power of Christ.  Over the years, the church community has endeavored to expand its ministries by undertaking several phases of building renovations and additions.  The most recent of which was completed in 1999.

The building committee at that time embraced a vision that included the addition of what is now the Centrum, lobby area and classroom wing.  When this vision became a reality, the ministries and missions of this church also grew.  A host of community members and organizations use these spaces bringing a little bit more of the Kingdom of God to our greater community every single day.  Think of Adena, Outreach Christian Preschool, Upward Sports, Boy Scouts, the New Albany Historical Society, the New Albany Symphony and Community Choir, and Rotary Club just to name a few organizations that have been in and out of this space over the years.

It is now 2017 and we are poised and ready to grow the Kingdom yet again.  The vision of today hopes to expand the physical footprint of the church and enhance ministry space for all the program ministries of the church.  The vision includes a large sanctuary for inspiring weekly and holiday Traditional worship, weddings and funerals; additional youth ministry suite space for youth activities; renovated and expanded children's ministry classrooms including a children's worship and gathering space; a community room for use by large groups for fellowship and play; and a renovated centrum space for enhanced Contemporary worship.  Can you imagine all the ways God can use this project to continue the work of the Kingdom here in New Albany?

Listen to Everett Gallagher, a member of NAM for 24 years and a member of the 1999 and 2017 Planning Committees, talk about this exciting chapter in the continuing life and ministry of this church.
