Good News! The New Year begins with approval from the City of New Albany Architectural Review Board! Now our plans are being studied by the New Albany Development Office for engineering, mechanical, and site development requirements.
For months, we have been working with The McKnight Group and the City of New Albany on our expansion. Thank you to all who have given leadership. We are excited to share with you the new, improved drawings of our church expansion as approved by city officials.
These pictures reflect city requested changes to the roof line, building materials, open-air porch, landscape, and design of the new sanctuary. We are excited to share these images with you so we can, as a congregation, continue to visualize this new space and the ministry that will happen here. (These new images are posted on the Imagine Campaign bulletin board replacing the previous images.)
Church Leadership will meet with the Capital Area North District Committee on Location and Building on February 7. It is our hope that this committee will give final approval for the project to move forward.
We are planning a State of the Church Sunday on February 11. During the worship hours, these new drawings will be shared and Pastor Frank will update the congregation on city approval, and the outcome of the February 7th meeting with the District Committee.
Thank you for your generous support of the Imagine Campaign. We are pleased to report that all expenses for architectural drawings, engineering services, site study, and city services have been met thus far! We invite you to continue to remain faithful to the Imagine Campaign and continue to help us turn this dream of the Kingdom into a reality.
